History Repeatn’ Debuts New Podcast, Announces New Exhibit and Collaboration in Its Sophomore Year

After an innovative first year bringing history to life through immersive pop-up events, History Repeatn’ is raising the bar once again. The creative team of Carol Taylor, John N. Daniello, and Pete Gallo is entering its second year in business with exciting new ventures, including a launch into the world of podcasting and a partnership with the Huntington Public Library.

Introducing History Straight Up

From the imaginative team behind History Repeatn’ comes a new kind of history podcast, one where every glass tells a story. History Straight Up uncovers the fascinating tales behind the world’s most iconic drinks and the moments and people in time that made them legendary.

Hosted by Taylor, Daniello, and Gallo, the show explores everything from ancient mead halls to roaring speakeasies, revealing how cocktails, brews, and spirits shaped cultures, sparked revolutions, and defined eras.

History has always been best shared over a good story, or a good drink,” the co-founders said of the new venture. “With History Straight Up, we’re blending both.”

The podcast officially debuts November 14, with early access available exclusively to History Repeatn’ Insiders. The first episode, The Sazerac, is now streaming at HistoryStraightUp.com.

“History has always been best shared over a good story, or a good drink. With History Straight Up, we’re blending both.”

A New Collaboration

This December, History Repeatn’ is partnering with the Huntington Public Library to celebrate the anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition through a month-long exhibit and free educational program.

Speakeasies & Shorelines: Prohibition on Long Island, a new exhibit from History Repeatn’, will run throughout December 2025. Created by Daniello with research by Taylor, the exhibit uncovers Long Island’s secret past, from clandestine bars and jazz-fueled nights to daring rum runners racing across the Sound. The exhibit celebrates the 92nd anniversary of the nation’s most daring social experiment.

The celebration continues with “Bootleggers, Bathtubs, and the Ban,” an in-depth presentation by Taylor on Tuesday, December 2 at 7:00p.m at the library.

This free program offers a deep dive into the Prohibition era’s organized crime, underground networks, and Long Island’s unforgettable role in America’s journey through the Roaring ’20s.

This is a free presentation but registration is required. For tickets visit the Huntington Public Library website.

In coordination with these programs, the History Straight Up podcast will feature episodes highlighting iconic drinks from the Prohibition era.

A Refreshed Website

To mark this exciting new chapter, the online home of History Repeatn’ is getting a refresh.

Launching November 14, the refreshed site will feature all of the company’s new offerings; from upcoming events, podcast episodes, articles, exhibits, and more – all in one, mobile-friendly space.

More To Come

If that weren’t exciting enough, the company will close out the year with another major announcement in December. Subscribers to the HR Insider newsletter will be first to know, or follow History Repeatn’ on Instagram.
