🥂 History Repeatn’ is one year old, and what a year it’s been! 🥂
We’re marking this milestone with a big announcement coming in just a few days. But before that, let’s take a quick trip down memory lane and revisit what we’ve accomplished in our very first year of business.
It all began in the summer of 2024 as an idea among friends Carol Taylor, John N. Daniello, and Pete Gallo. However, it wasn’t long before that burst of inspiration became History Repeatn’, the pop-up events company that’s been bringing people and the community together through one-of-a-kind, history-fueled experiences for the last year.
History Repeatn’ first popped onto the scene during the 2024 Northport Cow Harbor Day, but our true debut came a few months later. In October, along with HR teammates Jessica Driscoll, Matthew DellaBonta, and Jillian Duque, we hosted our very first event: a Prohibition Sip & Learn at Crossroads Cafe in East Northport. From there, things took off, fast.
In our first year, we created and hosted an amazing lineup of events that even history itself would envy, including:
- The first annual Veterans Appreciation Celebration
- Northport’s first-ever Santa Crawl
- A Murder Mystery Wine & Chocolate Tasting to die for
- A lively St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl
- Our first Prohibition Game Nite
- The epic village-wide May the Fourth Be With You celebration
- A spellbinding village-wide Harry Potter Day
- The show-stopping Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th Anniversary Celebration
Along the way, we proudly supported local causes and partners. We’ve donated to organizations like Vets Out of the Rough, participated in Northport PrideFest alongside Daniello’s PRIDE! Our Story exhibit, and teamed up with multiple Northport businesses to create these memorable events that celebrate and support our local community.
And the word got out! Over the last year, History Repeatn’ has been featured in the Northport Journal, Northport Neighbors, Northport Patch, The Observer, LongIsland.com, News 12, and in countless social media posts.
Looking back, our first year has been nothing short of amazing, and it’s only the beginning.
